Any Irritating Things Bother You About Your Truck

It is a small irritation about my F100, but it bothers me. I drove about sixty miles this week in the rain. It wasn't a steady pour down rain. It would rain hard then just about stop, then drizzle, then mist & so on. I probably leaned forward fifty times to shut off my single speed wipers. Thinking about rigging up a remote control on/off controller.

Same thing gets me 2 wiper speeds, still a pain. I have a intermediate switch just haven't got to puttin it on. Hard hot start gets to me once in a while, but getting ready to fix that issue. Other than that I just count my blessings

Yeah, it's in a million pieces and I can't drive it! But seriously, the noise in the cab is what irritated me most. Couldn't hear the radio or the phone. That and the whistling from the vent window. Hopefully, sound deadener, insulation, carpet, new window seals and some 3.00 gears, instead of the 3.89s, will quieten it down.

Get the intermittent wiper switch and replay from a dentside or Bronco. Plugs right in to the harness, and you just have to swap the switch out. There's a guy on Ebay that sells the whole thing if you can't get one from a yard.

My speedometer doesn't work. It also gets really loud and hot in the cab with no A/C and very little insulation. It's a sweaty experience to drive around in the summertime in South Texas.

I guess the most irritating thing is never having time to drive it and/or work on it.

The only thing that is a little irritating is when I have to go and full up with gas and how much it costs, but it's worth it. I love the truck, the noises, the rattles and whistling; it's all part of the experience and joy of driving an older vehicle. Plus, if those things bothered me, I guess I would just go out and buy a new truck and look like everyone else on the road.

Be sure to get the box also when you pull switch. You will love it when its in.I have one on my truck and I think I have used the delay more than the regular low or high speed. As far as something that bothers me about my truck now is no ac and its getting hot again.

the lack of a decent cupholder (sorry roll of duct tape but you just ain't quite got it) and the way the ashtray falls on the floor because the bearings fell out of the guides those are the biggest things i have to complain about,the rest i've learned to live with

Hey Randy: I recently replaced all of the door window weather stripping in the flareside & it is a bunch quieter, but the doors are harder to close now because of the air pressure inside the cab.
