dude where did I go!! I tried putting me back on and it sent me to tin buck two, I than deleted that and now its a no go .. this is too funny.. a little help here Rich

I haven't messed with this in a while... Let me log in and see if I can find you and if I do, I will delete you and you can add yourself again.

EDIT: Well, I checked and I removed you from the list, so you should be able to add yourself again. Give it a shot and if it doesn't work the first time, try a few times. Others have said that they initially had a problem adding a marker but it worked for them after a few tries.

Just make sure you zoom all the way in to the spot you want to place the marker. If you try to place your marker while zoomed out, it isn't actually placing your add where you want it and that is how people end up in the boonies or in the middle of a lake..

I just noticed this thread again last night. I remember trying to do this a couple of years ago, and after several tries, finally giving up on it. This time I got it to work after a couple of tries. With just the postal code it didn't work, but with the city, state/province and postal code, it did.

Just a thought. I was thinking that this Member Map could become a "sticky". Maybe put it at the top of the "Welcome Mat" sub-forum, that way, when new members join they could "pin" themselves on the map at the same time. Also, it would make it easier for people to find the map without having to search for this thread.

Hmm.. May have temporarily gone done. That happens from time to time. I have had that happen before and then find it up again in a few hours. Who knows... Hopefully it will come back.
