What do you collect?

Post by chad67 »

I collect Hot Wheels much to my wife's dismay. I got a display case out of a dumpster (brand new, still in the box no less!) and was going through my collection to fill my new case. I found 2 dentside trucks! I forgot I had them, but I guess that's to be expected when you have around 400! My wife was lecturing about the cost, I told her that any hobby that has only cost a total of $400 over a period of 15 years is a bargain.

How very true! I've spent a lot more on hobbies that lasted a lot less.

I collect debt, they're easy to come by, you can't lose them, and they grow in response to doing nothing!

thats cool there Chad67... yes its a cool hobby and 400 is a good start I think I have around 1500 (maybe more ) than the 20 or 30 two hotwheels in the display case and some boat load of other hotwheels ones,,80 Muscle Machines,15 5 car box ones. I think I have one or two bumps as well too..
I been doing it from the early '90s. I may need to unpack them and count them all. As I just may need to sell them on evilbay now so to pay for bills and the house note..I see if I can get a pics of all of them lol

fbomb-There's no rhyme or reason to my collection. If I am at a store and see one that I like, I'll get it-most of the time. I guess it all depends on my mood that day. Jimmy-Looks good. I am going to add a few shelves to my new case.

its the same with me I buy what I like, '57 chevy ,'49 merc ,'69 mustang, '40 woody,f100's so on and so on ,, .Just no ricecar looking ones or weird looking dumb cars. I was collecting to sell them when they get old and worth a little or a lot it all depends on the car, but like I had said "I may have to sell" sooner than I wanted
