Grille Guard

Post by swbhunter »

I live in MT and there's lots of elk and deer over here and I don't wanna ruin my nice '69 aluminum grille once I get my project finished, so I was thinking about fabricating a grille guard for it. Anybody got any ideas to share of grille guards for bump side pickups? Maybe some pictures. Haven't seen any I think would look good yet. Thanks

Good idea! A deer totaled my van outside of Lincoln. Some people around here fabricate them out of square tubing.

Here are some ideas from another thread:

Good luck!

A 07 or so F150 down the road from me has a grille gaurd on it, Or more like a cattle catcher. I'll get a picture of it wednesday. Its heavy duty and looks like it would take out whatever got in front of it. Think he said he paid $800 for it.

I remember seeing a bump on craigslist that had one of the period correct factory ones ( washington DC maybe). You might try looking on there and be in luck. Id also like to score one someday too. :)
