My cleaned up work truck

Post by abe »

Three Sunday's ago I was bored and started waxing the hood of my 70 F350. It turned out pretty nice. That week I washed the truck and waxed the rest of the truck. It looked pretty nice, so I decided I would take it to the local car show the Sunday after July 4th.

I pressured washed the headboard and bed and the next day painted them both. The headboard got a beige color ( actually had painted the headboard beige last fall with some old paint I had in the garage but it started flaking after a couple of weeks... I checked the paint can and saw it was interior paint!) and the bed was painted black to help hide dirt after hauling mulch.

here are some pics.. not bad for a 1970 work truck:

With FORD letters painted black and stock red reflectors on side and rear:
I have 2 Dietz Marker lights for the rear. They go to the left and right of the reflectors at the back end, but have not put them on yet as I am afraid they might get knocked off when I dump stuff.

What do you think? Not bad for an old dump truck, huh? Now my wife says I won't want to haul stuff and get it dirty!

Looks good. Don't stop using that old work horse! It's possible to have a good looking work truck.
