ahh! one must have thick skin!

working on my bump the other night. brother says: you got an oil leak, but if a ford ain't leaking it's empty! He wears a bow tie! I thought it was funny!

the bow tie small block has dominated in sales and popularity for many years!
I like watching a jeep fly through the mud run with a ford stock 302 and nitrous faster than most Chevy's with more money invested!

Many reasons for mixed breeds.
For mud runs its hard to beat the value of a used chevy engine-9" ford rear- Toyota front axle (less money in = more fun out)

I think it's funny too! Of course the obvious return is "It's not leaking oil. It is marking it's territory"

Is that the same brother who drove his Chevy over to my house and it puked anti-freeze all over the driveway?

Yes they had TV but it was before remote control. So you had to have kids to change the channel and adjust the matchbook behind the knob and wiggle the rabbit ears.

Hey we had that too but we also had a set of pliers to change the channel because the knob was missing.

This thread just cracks me up! Its the same old thing, Chevy vs Ford opinions. Both are unique and both have there strong points and there weak points. Don't classify "Chevy guys" or "Ford guys just because how a few have responded to you and you did not like the tone of his voice or the words he said. Be the better person, just walk away and let it be. But, I guess if we all did that we would not have this entertaining thread.

I still prefer Ford, I do however have a 79 C20 for my beater/bad weather truck. Rather have someone hit it in bad weather then my Ford. But for reliability, looks and fun to drive goes to the Ford. But my Chevy has a/c and with all my health problems, gotta have the a/c when my health takes a turn south. Plus the Chevy is the one I let relatives borrow, but no one touches the Ford.

When I was a kid I was a big Trans Am guy. Then I got into Mopars and had a 70 Charger, sold it to my mother.

One of these days i'd like to get a 59 Ranchero. Ya, a 59 Ranchero and my 71 F100, that would cool.

First off, I'm a car guy. I'm not a Ford, Chrysler or GM guy. A lot of people mistake themselves as car guys but I can't see how you can be a car guy when you are a brand loyalist. If you saw all the cars that I have been fortunate to have over the last 18 years you'd see. I've had all three of the big guys. I've yet to own a forgein car but that is really cause I cannot afford the one I want. But, one day. I like to go to shows but mostly cruise in's. I don't like to pay $25 to sit in a parking lot all day watching guys jockey to win a $5 plaque. It is not that important to me. I've won a best of show and some top 10's and 20's. It was fun but the most fun is looking at what people build, how they build it and hear their story. I could care less if it was a toyota supra motor in a 40 ford. I just want to know how you got it in there and how does it run. There is no reason in this hobby to get into a pissing contest over what someone has done to a car. It belongs to them, if you don't like it then I think there is a old saying on what to do in that situation. I've had my cars picked apart by people at shows but I don't care. I've felt like saying "If you don't like it then buy it and do it your way and I'll come and comment on it." It is not worth the breath and most of the time my son is with me and I don't want him to see that side, I want him to have fun at the cruise in's and appreciate the cars.

BTW, I sold a 82 Silverado to buy my 68 Ford F100. I've had several cars, most all GM except for a 79 Bronco (loved that thing, wouldn't fit into the garage at the new house) and a 79 F150 Explorer.

Or the other one! "It's not leaking it is sweating horsepower"

My 200 F250 marked it's spot, my 71 even after the new rear main marks it spot. It is a ford thing!

Found this on craigslist today and reminded me of this thread. Its got some Chevy stuff in it, similar to previous mentioned cars . http://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/4017960735.html

I think it still looks awesome despite the Chevy parts and I'd love to drive and own it. Genuine Fords will of course always be my favorites though.

you guys crack me up. you keep vearing off my main point. why must any loyalists be total A-Holes? personaly the only loyalists ive ever had bad incounters with are chevy dudes. this question is more so rhetorical of course because there isnt an actual answer. exept "theres a few in every bunch" its just stupid it happens at all.
