Flatbedford's flatbed moving on

Post by FLATBEDFORD »

I haven't posted much here in the last few years , but there was a time when I lived and breathed this site. I sold the '70 this week. It is moving to New Hampshire. I know that it is going to a good home where it will be taken care of and eventually restored. The new owner is a huge Ford guy who has owned many different Fords over the years. He has the time, the know-how, the money, and the space to give the old truck the attention that it needs. I'm sad to let it go, but it was killing me to see it slowly rot way in my driveway. When it comes to these old trucks we have to think of ourselves as the current care taker. Its somebody else's turn to take care of this one. I took it for the last ride last night and I'll miss it.
This is the last picture of it in my driveway. Loaded up with the last of my parts, ready for the long ride to New Hampshire.

At least you know she's going to a good home. Just because you won't have a truck doesn't mean you can't stop by n visit!

The new owner really likes the mirrors. They are the best upgrade I made to the truck while I had it.

I'd rather visit Cape Cod than the Catskills.

Steve, sorry to hear you sold your F350 Flatbed and I am sorry to see you leave. I have used your flatbed pictures to improve my flatbed. I liked what you did to your truck and how you use it for work....

Good luck to you. Stop by now and then.

Sorry to see it go but I can understand with the newer version being around. Borrowed dad's '03 F250 to do the roof on my shed and it's nice.

An old Ford is like an girl friend. you miss her, then you don't, then one day you see her coming out of the gym finally and boom you miss it all over again. (but she didn't look like that when you parted)

The Flatbed is now in my possession! :woohoo:
Keep your eyes peeled you just may see it all buff again.

Gotta get it done and put it to work!

Thanks, Flatbedford :fr:

Gunna miss you Steve...oh wait... Although it's no often enough we have always stayed in touch. Bumpside or not, you'll always be a good friend. Mrs. 71 long bed is always asking how Mrs. Flatbedford is doing. Now that the crumb crunchers are getting a bit older we'll have to make the trip to NY.( You guys came buy us last time...). My truck is probably not far behind yours for it's trip down the line.

Welcome aboard Highland Living!! It's great that everyone who loved Steve's truck will still be able to follow it's future.

Thanks, for the welcome. FlatbedFord's F350 is currently under the knife. It will surface soon in the original Norway green with any luck.
