I was thinking the same thing myself. I told the owner that if he doesn't get any takers on the F-100 to let me have first dibs at pulling parts off it before it goes to the crusher. He'd let the F-100 as is go right now for $600.flyboy2610 wrote:I don't need it for myself, but you may want to grab that vanity panel from underneath the '71's dash. It's the woodgrain panel along the lower right side of the dash. Those don't along too often, and someone may need it.

If Al & I can work things out we may part the 600. It is a gorgeous truck as is but I have no use for it other than parts to make my build better. What is the cluster worth to you?

Re: Fords at the local Scrapper
The dash pad is the same size & type used in the F-100s, F-250s, F-350s, and F-600s. The one in this F600 is amazingly intact (no tears, cracks, or splits!). What got me, was how perfect the perforations were over the radio speaker area. The pad is a little bit faded and dry feeling, but you can bring it back to life with the right plastic rejuvenators(I've seen it done before).69Ford wrote:Are the dash pads the same In F600 as F100's and how is the dash pad thanks
I realize this truck has drawn a lot of attention and I would love to see it go to a good home, whether to be used as is or parted out for the better of 2+ bumpsides. There's a good bit of parts(large and small) on it that could easily be used in a restoration of a 67-72 F-100/250. I'm talking original steel, Ford parts that are in incredibly good shape for a 46 year old truck. I know the owner has told me that he really would regret selling it, BUT HE NEEDS THE MONEY. So, that would be a good motivation to let the F600 go to some folks who could use it. Plus, like I said, he is getting married in a month or two and he told me that it would be awesome if he could somehow get some money for a sweet honeymoon trip. You have 2 things in your favor if you're interested in this truck.

My self I would not be interested in the entire truck just parts. Too much money and not enough storage. Still would like to see the F600 go in one piece to someone
to use and enjoy.

Hey y'all, just an update on the F600. It's still for sale. My friend needs some money and the truck needs to go! So if you might be interested in a 1967/8 F600 for use in a project or just for what it is, here's the owner's contact info. He welcomes all offers.

This F600 is one of the cleanest, straightest, and most original trucks I've seen
. The cab, hood, interior, and drivetrain are in great condition! Use what you want/need and scrap the rest or drive as is. It has FE block V8, manual 4 speed, flatbed, super original bench seat and dashpad, along with many other stock options that are getting hard to find.
He also has a '71 F-100 swb Ranger with a 302 V8 for sale too. It'd make a great parts truck.
