Project '68 snowballing!
As most of my projects do, the '68 is starting to change directions and snowball into a major rebuild! I bought the truck with a bunch of new front end parts, disc brakes and power steering added. Good running freshened up 390. Plan was paint and interior, drive it. Then I decided on doing a crown vic swap. Sold front suspension out of truck. Then decided on 4.6 with an overdrive. Sold the 390 out of the truck. Not much truck left in the truck! Rear end and power steering box and 18" aluminum wheels will get sold next. Explorer rear end is coming!

Re: Project '68 snowballing!
My truck is doing the same thing, but fortunately for me I am busy building a house so its just the planning phase that is changing.
I too am looking at a Vic front, am looking for a Cobra/Tbird. independent rear. I am going to use a nice 289 I have sitting around and get rid of the 72 460. 460 runs great but I am tired of feeding it.
I am thinking a TKO600/500 would be fun.
I almost bought wheels and tires for it, but knowing how I am I held off.

LOL, snowballing and the collector car hobby are really one in the same. If you love these old things you will find yourself doing something simple as changing a bulb turning into removing both, cleaning the sockets, buffing the lenses and screws before putting it back together.

I just started a build thread, so I can document the madness!
