Switched to the dark side

Post by OldRedFord »

About two months ago I traded in my 1997 F250 for a 2012 Dode Ram 3500 crew cab 4x4, big horn. Has the 6.7 Cummins, auto. Felt it was time for something new for a change.

My only complaints? For a diesel this is too quiet. It doesnt sound like a Cummins. Fuel mileage sucks. On a good day I might high 15 mpg. I belive its all the emissions crap chocking it down.

Nice truck, does seem like unloaded and not pulling you would get better MPG.
May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Egr and Dpf delete kit with a 5in exhaust and an H&S mini max you'll be in the 20mpg with more power and noise. It's a couple hour job and well worth it if you don't have an emissions test. Congrats on the new rig.

Good looking truck! I too have been toying with the idea of a Dodge cummins truck but just haven't done it yet.

Nice looking truck. I have a 03 crew cab 8' bed with a Cummins. I get 20 mpg with a air filter, exhaust and a light right foot. Oh and its the cheap exhaust through Jeggs. Think it was $329 from the turbo back
