Over the past couple months the 68 CS has had new shocks, air in back, and all brake parts except the hard lines replaced. Disc in front, drum in back. Added a Edelbrock aluminum intake, holly 600, headers, new dist., went back to points for now. Also Aluminum vlv covers, swapped out the Bendix steering box for a Saginaw so the headers would fit. Shinny air cleaner. Had a new 2.5" dual exhaust with some awesome sounding glasspacks installed. (Now have a stock size dual exhaust system with 2 Thrush out besides the shop with all the other stock parts sitting in the shop.)
Taking up room. Also a bunch of little odds and ends that need doing when ya get into a mod project
Got the 68 up to 10 MPG which is what I have always averaged with my other 390 trucks. Better than the 7 MPG I was getting
I am in it for the fun and love of it not MPG, if that was the case I would be driving and fixing up a Geo Metro
Instead I am having a blast
the 68.
