Got Bored at Work, Sketched a Bump

Post by TexasTruck72 »

A couple weeks ago, during a boring afternoon at work, I decided to put my drawing hand to use. I always like to sketch things I am familiar with. Check out this dry erase board sketch of a '72 F-100 swb. Also FE Block V8 engine, etc. I used to not be able to draw an accurate bumpside, but after spending hours on here and in real life staring at my truck, I can get the proportions just about right.

Jack your FE doesn't look like a FE. Not being critical but the intake forms part of the head on FEs.

Good work! Have you decided on a paint color and interior yet? I don't recall seeing a Boxwood Green dry erase marker. :hmm:

Yeah it isn't too accurate. I just drew a engine from a hodge podge of engine memories and labed it an FE. Haha. I can draw a much more accurate one with more time.

Speaking of engines, some people will believe anything. Have you ever told someone your truck has a radial engine? Try it(on someone who doesn't know too much about trucks) and see if they believe you.
