Snow lots of it.

Post by 69Ford »

I just though I would share these photo's. The last week I worked many 12 hour days Plowing this white stuff. 28 Inches this storm and know they are saying -15 tonight not windchill actual
temp. This is all taking away from working on my truck. But life goes on. How long do you think it will take me to shovel out my PT Cruiser.

Got a daughter in N.H. and one in Fairbanks. Hard winters in a bunch of places. I would help ya shovel the PTC, but my arms aren't long enough. (That is what I tell my girls) They tell me to come on out.

I keep hoping we'll get some white stuff this year. Last year I even put gas in the blower for a 'major storm' and ended up just dumping it back out a week later.

We've got 4 or 5 inches on the ground here in southern Manitoba, but it's really cold right now. Last nights low was -29C (-20F) and it only made it up to -23C (-9F) today. It's supposed to go down to -32C (-26F) tonight and stay around -22C to -28C until at least Thursday. :(
With these temps, my car gets plugged in for 4 hours overnight. It has to sit unplugged all day while I'm at work. I'll have to go start it and let it run for ten minutes or so halfway through the day. I didn't get a chance to do that today and when I started it after work, it sounded like the pistons and rods were going to jump right out of the engine!

Oh well, only 17 weeks left until Spring...hopefully  :)

We got our first snow of the year last night. Got about 3". I took the cover off Frodo to replace the water pump, didn't have a chance to get it back on in time. Later today I'll clean him off and put the cover back on.

Not all of us up here think in metric :D
It never did get up to zero yesterday, in fact there was a sub -40 windchill that convinced me that whatever I thought I had to do outside could wait...

If this doesn't keep the snow away, it might cause it to jump off the street all by itself. :D
