I think the redesign looks killer. If was in the market for a truck, I would be all over a Raptor in this new body style.

Is it just me or is it disconcerting that all the trucks on Fords site are four door and have tiny beds?

Personally I think the front ends look horrible, too much glaring plastic chrome, just like the bigger versions.

Yeah, I'm feeling the same. The Raptor front isn't too bad though, but the others...almost makes our bumps look rather sleek in comparison.

Am I the only one that realizes that the "military grade" aluminum is the same stuff that my bicycle is made of?

We make a 2 dr long bed too. Just not a lot of them.
I work for Ford at the Dearborn Truck Plant Bodyshop. We don't make a long bed in Dearborn. They make them in Kansas City. We do make 2dr 6 1/2' here. Best built truck in the world.

My Son in law is a 6'5" and 200 lbs + and he flogs the hell out of an aluminum bike and it thrives on the abuse,I spent the first 10 years of my machinist life in aerospace
and have a lot of faith in the correct aluminum alloy in a structural application :2cents:

The extended cab apparently has a rear door that folds almost all the way back against the cab...

I think it is a cool truck... check out some of the videos on fords you tube site...

I agree. I think it's a shame what trucks have become. It's hard to find a new truck that isn't marketed towards folks who may only ever haul a set of golf clubs. To me a true "truck" doesn't need heated seats, navigation, auto tint mirrors, automatic 4wd, and all this other gingerbread found on trucks today. I guess that's why I have a 67, haha. Not to mention the 40k price tag on a lot of trucks today.

Oh I know it's a Srtong truck for sure. I just mean the TYPICAL buyer of modern trucks aren't working them like a truck. I know I couldn't do what I need to do with a 4.5 foot bed or whatever most trucks I see have. For me if I can't haul a full sheet of plywood or drywall, it's a deal breaker.
