trucker/ camper mirrors
feeling this out..have ah set of trucker style mirrors maybe this isnt what they call them i dont know... dont think a better used pair could be found. could someone tell me what i could expect to get for these.... these were on my 60 f100 that came with a box camper. thanks.!

They're likely two-legged "Jr. Western Mirrors" or three-legged "Western Mirrors".
A perfect, NOS set is $250 and up. An excellent set of Westerns is $150 and Juniors are about $100. An average set is about $100 and $75, respectively.
The T-bolts on the upper door mount are hard to find. Same with the hard plastic "gasket" on the lower mount. A buyer would appreciate having them whatever condition they might be in.

It's the seal underneath the mounting foot of the mirror. It was meant to protect the paint, and keep out water. I'll post a pic later if I can remember.

I believe people are incorrectly identifying what makes a mirror a west coast or a west coast jr. It is my understand that a west coast mirror is the larger 17" mirror commonly used on larger trucks. The west coast jr. is a 12 long mirror used on pickups. The type of mount it sits in doesn't matter.

Interesting. I thought the Jr. was the two-legged mount, and the Sr. was the three-legged mount, but the mirrors themselves were the same. Didn't know there was a larger mirror. Do you have any pics you could post?
On edit, if the Jr. and Sr. are designations for the mirrors (which makes sense), is there a designation for the mounts?

Nope. The difference was the third "steady" rest arm and the Juniors (two-legged) had swing locks. what about a california mini?
ha, had a chevy guy trying to tell me thats what they were called... i think its a stepside/flareside kinda thing?
I've definitely seen large and small 2 post mirrors in the junkyard but who knows if they were OE or aftermarket.
JC whitney has the re-pop style ones for $30, who knows if they are any good or not... i think probably good enough for my truck... 100 bucks for a set of crummy old mirrors is gonzo.

I think the 2 post ones would look more correct on a F100 or F250 while the 3 legged ones are for the F350's with dual rear wheels.
For a '60 F100 I'm pretty sure they were added on after it left the dealers lot.

Maybe so.. I had always called the ones with a outside bar parallel to the mirrors a west coast mirror. My 68 had the three legged mirrors that were fairly big, but I didn't consider them to be west coast mirrors.. Just over sized
pickup or delivery truck/van type mirrors.
I didn't like them as they were like small barn doors on each side of the truck, and I felt they added too much wind resistance,
which also added more noise. A friend of mine had a pair of 1987 Ford truck mirrors with the single curved bar look.
The mirror fronts are more aerodynamic and have curved fronts so to speak. I like them much better, and still are using
those. They are a good bit quieter at speed, which tells me the resistance should be down a bit. Saves a tad bit of gas maybe..
One thing I like about these is that you can swing them inwards to get them out of the way if needed. Might also save some
damage if you hit something with one.

can i get a desciption of the t bolt u mentioned or a pic please..my mirrors measure 10'' by 6" single stud mount both ends. thanks for the help,

I have had both styles and from what I have noticed is that the difference in in the mounts. Of course I did not have them at the same time so as far as I know there could be a little difference in mirror size.
