Attending shows
I am curious. How far would you travel for a show?

Re: Attending shows
I've traveled from mid Michigan to Indy,
And I've had friends go to St Ignace in our U.P.
It's at least a 4 hour trip either way.

Re: Attending shows
2x.. I try to limit at 100 miles. Way more better if there is a swap meet with the show. Goodguys Nationals at Pleasanton is a scant 28 miles.
Every other Friday btwn March and November, there is a vey loose and informal get-together at the far corner of a mall (about three miles from me) which draws a rotating assortment of about 50 cars and trucks of all types - rods, customs, street machines, restos, restomods, etc. Lots of casual passersby....We're all on an email list and get updates, news, and heads-ups on all shows within 60 miles or so. Works really well.

Re: Attending shows
Depends on what kinda show
It also depends on where you live. There's a car meet every Sunday about 7 miles from here. There are car meets every Wednesday night about 15 miles away and a several car meets on Friday nights.

Re: Attending shows
I drive up to the Annual All Ford Show and Shine at Summit Racing in McDonough, GA from Warner Robins which is 85 miles one way.
But I've driven 100+ each way so 200+ round trip in a beetle and in a mustang once. But I like to drive so it depends on the show.

Re: Attending shows
I use to trailer my mustangs all over the damn country when I was young dumb and single. Car shows, and lots of partying. But with a wife, and kids at the house I have toned it down over the years. I will typically catch 2-3 GoodGuys shows a year now, but Im not much for anything further than 3-4 hours drive time.
