Vintage Bumpside Pictures!

Post by Florian »

Someone shared this beautiful photo from 1967 in the Fordification Facebook group recently. This got me inspired to dig into the history of my truck once again and see if I can track down any of it's previous owners and talk to them, maybe even get an old picture of it! That would be awesome!

In the meantime I thought it would be cool to start a thread with pictures of Bumpsides from when they were new or slightly used cars in the 60s - 70s. Doesn't have to be your truck. Just cool old photos!

PS: I did a search but surprisingly I could`t find a thread like this yet. If there is already one, please let me know, would love to see it!

This is me in my grandpa's 1969 Ford F-100, somewhere around 1970. I am 46 now and the truck is in my garage.

How COOL is that?! That's beyond awesome! Love the picture and that you still got the truck now! Few people can tell such a story about their truck. Congrats!

That is a cool picture. Love your slippers!

I have my grandfather's 54 F100, but I have no pictures of me in it or on it or driving it which I did in the tobacco fields.

I know this is not a bump... more of a ridge side :P but I had to share.
this was my first truck I ever bought. 1972 Courier was born a white GTE (general telephone) company truck. someone painted it brown.
I paid $1,100 for it and that was too much....I tried to make it off road...  I installed a lift kit, rims and tires, light bar, brush guard, stereo, etc. All the things a 19 year old does.
nobody ever had trouble finding me at night with those KC hi-lighters
I thrashed it about in the desert for quite awhile. amazingly I never broke anything. it was a pretty tough little Ford (I mean Mazda). that little 4 banger 4 speed did its best to keep up... with the mini bikes.

This photo was taken circa 1979 at El Mirage dry lake bed which is near Victorville California. Right after a rain, it was slippery as snot and tons of fun
