I'm not talking about factory steel wheels painted black. I am talking about those butt-ugly, black 'custom' wheels.
I keep seeing them and asking myself why anyone would spend good money to make their vehicle look worse. Then again, they don't show brake dust as bad . . . I guess. Kinda of like having a yellow truck in the spring. Or the septic tank guy having a brown/black truck . . . After all, some people pay 100 bucks or more for jeans with holes in 'em!
Obviously, this is a personal choice - As is my opinion of them.
But, what is the attraction? I just don't get it. Black sidewalls and black wheels? I'd feel the same way about chrome sidewalls and chrome wheels. Well, at least, I THINK I would. Never seen it.
The guy who came up with black wheels should be buried in the same grave with the one who came up with 'rodent' rod. Nope, I'm not going to write it or say it! Had to be Chevy guys . . .

DISCLAIMER: If you have black wheels (by choice), good for you. Guess that's what you wanted and you are welcome to them. Just remember, they don't HAVE to be permanent.
