Truckport

Post by Mancar1 »

I know the term is carport, but it will b 4 the Truck.
Last few years I have been thinking of putting up a carport, I mean truckport, in my 2nd parking place. I have one I built for my late wife, Vicki, years back. Now I need a 2nd one and I am thinking about a American Carport. (Yes made in America) Main office is in Texas I am told. A friend of mine who has a garage a couple miles from me, and is the owner operator, and only mechanic. Kinda like me and the cemetery I manage...me myself and I.
Well as a side line he sells these car, errr truckports for a commission. So I think I will purchase one through him. Yes I could buy direct, but like I said he is a friend and has always been there for me and mine.
Thinking about closed sides and open front/back. Going to close it in with chain link and a gate. Tired of the dogs peeing on my wheels. :x
looking at a 12' by 26'. Lot of colors available, but I am going with white. Cooler and if I change the color of my house. White will go with whatever.
Once it is set up I will dig out around the anchors and fill the holes with concrete. Come on wind.
I could get the base 12' by 21' installed for $795. but what I want will run around $1200.
I do believe I will go for it.
$$$$$ can't eat it, and u can't take it with u. :D
Keep on Trucking.....John

I think carports are a great investment. It will protect your truck from any bad weather.
