Maddening!

Post by Madman »

I ordered a Detroit Locker for my Dana 60 in April, but apparently there was a run on 16 spline Dana 60 Detroit Lockers....It is being fabricated at the factory, and won't be shipped until mid-June....meanwhile, I am chomping at the bit to finish my Dana 60 rebuild......I am in a holding pattern until then...UGH!!!! :hw:

I feel your frustration Madman! In January I scheduled a weeks vacation for late April and had a plan to have $1200 saved up to throw at my truck. At the end of March my car crapped out and I had to spend it all, and more, for a new DD. OK, so, regroup. I still had paint, activator, reducer, Rust Encapsulator and gloss black left over. I'll paint everything I can and be ready for June. April came and it was windy and never hit 65*. Somewhere a chebbie is quietly wringing its fingers n giggling. :x

I know just what you mean! My other hobby, besides my bump Frodo, is model railroading. I pre-ordered one of these bad boys on 5-25-2012:

Original delivery date was to be October, 2012. Current expected delivery date is September, 2014, nearly 2-1/2 years after I ordered it! It better be worth it. To hear the distinctive sound of this three cylindered steamer, go here: (click the link in the dialog box to bring up the sound recording)

Why does it take so long to get what one has ordered sometimes?
