A couple 68 Questions
ok been looking around at different sites for a few things for my 68, cab mounts for one. Who has the best kits? I don't really need polyurathane but I'm looking for the best kit for the cab and core supt.
My other question is about the windshield. Mines all foggy around the edges. I think I'm going to buy from NPD, they are literally right around the block from me, I am considering replacing it myself but even if I don't I want to remove the windshield moldings myself. How do you get them off without damaging them?

Henry helped pay for it all.

You need to take windshield out to get them off, and put them on when windshield goes in.

Re: A couple 68 Questions
Per the glass I think if I had the trim I'd probably let a shop do it. I did my plain ones and it was a PITA with the stress of getting the glass installed without the gasket doing stupid stuff. Maybe if you have a couple extra helpers it would go OK.
The bushings I chose OEM rubber from the Bronco I sourced my floors and cab mounts from. No real drama as I wanted some flex and NPD's prices were outrageous for the bushing kits. Possibly stop at your local NAPA and see what they can do.

I got my Prothane polyurethane bushings for the cab on Amazon for $35......free shipping, you may be able to get them for $2-4 less, but you are going to pay close for rubber bushings....

I checked that part for my 68F100 and Amazon says "This does not fit your: 1968 Ford F100 Pickup". Do you have to modify it, or is Amazon wrong?Madman wrote:I got my Prothane polyurethane bushings for the cab on Amazon for $35......free shipping, you may be able to get them for $2-4 less, but you are going to pay close for rubber bushings....

It works. I did mine the same way before I found this tutorial. If you scroll to the bottom in each forum, there are alot of good tutorials and information.

Not saying it the best out there, but the best price I have found was $45 for the cab and core supports from Summit for poly bushings.

I wish it was that easy to put the trim back in... Reinstalling the trim is a nightmare. When you try to put the windshield and gasket in place, the trim wants to constantly pop back out.
