Good afternoon, I have been having a terrible time tracing down why my 04 Crown Vic blower motor does not work. Here is what I have checked:
Blower motor, good. Checked it by hard wiring to the battery.
Fuse, good
Relay, good
Wire from fuse to relay, good power
Wire after relay, NO POWER
Resistor, good
Blower motor switch, good
All battery positive connections are tight with no corrosion
All grounds on passenger kick panel and passenger front fender, good. I checked these ground by connecting other power sources to them and the wires.
This leads me to believe that it is a power problem somewhere.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Blower motor issues.

Re: Blower motor issues.
Sounds like a bad relay. There are a number of "how to test a 12v relay" threads on the web or your local parts store probably has a plug in tester.

Not the relay, I took one out of my 05 F150 and still nothing.

Then I don't have a clue. Modern vehicle circuitry makes me cring. But I'll be following your problem to learn more. Sorry I couldn't help.

Re: Blower motor issues.
Ok, here is an update. I just connected the outgoing pwr terminal of the vent selector switch to another pwr source and the blower motor will work in all speeds. Am I losing pwr somewhere or is this a ground issue?

Power. It would only be a ground issue if you got it working when you connect the blower ground to an alternate (ground) source.
