Richard Petty Driving Experience

Post by capeclassics »

Guys.....I did the RP Driving experience a couple of weeks ago down in Orlando and IT WAS THE MOST FUN I'VE EVER HAD WITH MY CLOTHES ON !!!!! Seriously,it was a blast driving the NETZERO #0 Monte Carlo around that tri-oval 1 mile track at about 120 MPH top speed(I'm a rookie).
Highly recommend as a MUST DO experience.

Cool! Did you get some pics? (Not that we need proof or anything!) ;)

Yeah, that would be the experience of a lifetime. I'd love to be riding shotgun on a full-out run at one of the two super-speedways (and WITHOUT the restrictor plate!). Even just a couple laps at speed would give me the thrill of a lifetime.

Yep...got pics(not that I know how to post them to the site!).Anyway, they do the program at about 21 different tracks around the country.Keith, they just started up Daytona last weekend...and I'm told you can pretty much run there flat out because of the banking.JD,every track might be different but my deal was around $400.00 in Orlando.Thats 8 laps DRIVING the 600HP beast. You follow an instructor and as long as you stay in his track and maintain proper following distance you go faster each lap.
They do also have a RIDE ALONG deal where you are in with a PRO driving the car at qualifying speed for 3 laps for $99.00----

They have a website but I can't find it...you can get info at 1-800-237-3889.
IT was the most fun I've ever had!!!!
PS No stripes!
