How did you find Fordification?
I was looking for information about my newly acquired '67 and every search I did, no matter what I was trying to find, lead me here. How did you guys find this place?

Re: How did you find Fordification?
Pretty much the same story here. Everything led me here and to "the other site". I joined both and started posting in both. Quickly noticed that this place was extremely friendly and helpful while the other place had a few attitudes and very few would answer questions when asked. I also found that when I mentioned the name Fordification on the other site (to reference information or data), I was quickly shut down, had my posts edited to remove this sites name, and told not to talk about Fordification over there. It did not take me long to forget my password to "the other place" and call this place home.

Re: How did you find Fordification?
I was a lurker here for about a year before I joined. I was reading/studying various things about these trucks. I wasn't new to these trucks, I just didn't know a lot about them. My dad had a '68 Ranger from the time I was about 6 years old until he sold it when I was 22. It was the first vehicle I learned to drive.
When I was 13, I decided I wanted a '68 Mustang by the time I turned 16. I was 15 (2 weeks away from my 16th B-day) when I bought a '68 Mustang in 1982. 32 years later, I still own that '68 Mustang.
I guess I wanted to go back to my "roots" in my experience with these trucks and about 4 years ago, I began reading about them (here) and learning the differences in the various year models. After a 5 month search, I located and bought the truck I have now (1969 F100 Ranger). I've had it a little over 3 years now.

Re: How did you find Fordification?
Google.
I started out with my 4wd 73 Dent and built it up using basic know-how. I started a PS retrofit and happened upon FTE towards the end of the build. Then I found Fordification.net and finally ended up here. I subsequently picked up a former co-worker's 2wd 70 F100 and recently picked up a 2wd 71 F250. I have learned to love the FE engines. They're dinosaurs but it's good to be different.
Ford has been my brand since 1979 when my oldest brother brought home a 65 Mustang coupe. It's been passed around the family members since. I bought it from my other brother in 2005. Even before that I picked up a six cylinder 68 Mustang in 1993 for $300. It's now fully rebuilt with V8 running gear and discs but still sports a 200-1V. Going waay back to high school I was into watercooled VWs (GTIs, Jetta GLIs, Sciroccos) and autocrossed them from 1982 to 1996. I gave my DD/autcrossing 85 GTI to my nephew a few years ago. He's still tearing up the streets and road courses with that thing....legally.

Re: How did you find Fordification?
I had been a member of FTE, with some good and some bad experiences, while building a bullnose truck with a roller 302. Honestly the 80-86 section is very good over there. But when I got my bump, I was told about this site. I loved it from day one. Such a great Atmosphere over here.

Re: How did you find Fordification?
Having various years and models of fords I've been on slick 60s, fordmuscleforum. And when I got my bump I found FTE first but I wasn't happy with it. Then I just stumbled upon this site. And I was happy happy, so much info here.
Unlike all the other forums ive had great experiences here. Nice patient people willing to answer redundant and or dumb questions with no problem. It took about a year and a half till I had a stereo typical forum experience of another member getting lippy. Not bad compared to other forums.
Keep it up fordification

I bought a '68 F100 and started searching for info on it. Found this site, and here I am.

Re: How did you find Fordification?
While I was in the middle of the re-build of my '64 International 1100A pickup, I was on the "Old IH North" web site. On there was a blog about lost or stolen trucks. I inquired about how I could locate my old '68 Ranger F10YCD69304 and the good folks there directed me to Fordification. Someone here looked up the serial number and the last province it was registered in was Quebec, a log way from good old Alberta. Many Thanks to the good folks who helped me find some closure to one of the finest trucks I have ever owned.

Re: How did you find Fordification?
Been here since Keith left the other place and started this one..
I'm still a member there too unless they deleted me due to inactivity. But I don't get over there too much.
I'm sort of surprised I still have the truck.. I've had it 15 years as of last month. And I still have the 74 in
the garage.
I actually did some work on the 68 the other day.. Replaced the bushings in the clutch equalizer bar.. They
were about kaput. I've actually worked on that truck very little the last few years.. Haven't really had to do
anything since I rebuilt everything about 10+ years ago.. I've just been driving it.
