Kitchens?????

Post by chad67 »

I laugh every time I see one of thes pop up here. We had something similar that happened to us when I worked for Oreilly Auto Parts. A competitor was putting in a store nearby, so they hired some place to call all the local stores to check their prices. They apparently gave them the drill down you go through when searching online. They were always women who barely spoke English, so when they called, we transferred them to our Installer Specialist. He would listen to what they asked for and then ask them a stupid question like, "Does it have woodgrain on the trunk?", or "Are the hubcaps purple?" That would stump them and their default response was, "I'll have to ask my husband when he gets home."

What I can never figure out is why they are trying to sell kitchens from the UK on an American website! :hmm: :?

The mean duckryder part of me wants to change them all to something obscene and not quite legal and then lock the post so they can't edit it....

Duckryder,
The bad thing is, they probably post and never come back, so they would never see it anyway!

Mostly true, at least for the Kitchens ones, then there are the ones that post something just coherent enough to maybe be serious and then come back a few days later and edit their signature with advertising links...

Usually from Jakarta.... :(

Oh well... guess I'll just have to keep deleting...

It's not to 'sell' anything in the short run..it's all 'google juice'...paid SEO pimps pumping links to the top pages of search results. There's money in the interwebs, donchaknow...
