Re: What did you do to YOUR bump today?
Got all the parts from NPD for the fronts, shoes, cylinders, hoses and hardware. Everything installed and brakes bled easily enough.
Something I shouldn't have done. Added up all the receipts for parts for it. My bump is worth a lot more than what I paid for it.
I still love it. I just drove to the store and got 3 different people talking to me about it and a couple nods or thumbs up while driving it.

Re: What did you do to YOUR bump today?
got the tailgate, hood, and bumper lined up properly on my f250 that i pulled from the junkyard a few weekends ago. Also trouble shooted the air conditioning which was a pita and installed a new compressor and dryer and replaced several o-rings and ended up charging the system with something my friend calls a r12 equivelant which can be used in residential hvac? and now my a/c will freeze me out!! just ordered a flowkooler water pump for the engine. i'll be doing water pump and power steering hoses for the 91 f250 hopefully this weekend. and i reaaaaaaaaaaally need to clean the interior. i just realized it smells like dog pee
why do people let their dogs urinate in their cars? i don't understand...

Re: What did you do to YOUR bump today?
Worked all night, brought a 1000lb pallet load of rubber mats to my folks place for their garden to keep the weeds down. Came home and noticed the truck pulling to the right. Spent a couple hours 'exercising' the pass side caliper to it would stop hanging up (no one stocks one). Spent another couple hours getting the proportioning valve working again. Spent an hour washing the truck. Took a short nap and am thinking about either waxing it or taking it for a ride to make sure the brakes don't act up.

Re: What did you do to YOUR bump today?
Well, I gave it a better place to live!
Sort of.
Last year, I enclosed the carport on the right side of the two-car garage and made a "three-car garage" except it is divided by the right wall of the original garage into two and one cars, so to speak. Anyhow, the enclosed carport side had a shed roof with no real "attic" space. So, that sucker got hot. I insulated the walls but the underside of the roof still radiated heat like crazy. I got the bright idea to put a ceiling in it by screwing some foil-faced insulation panels to the underside of the rafters. WHAT a difference. I am talking night and day - Literally.
I knew I couldn't just leave the new "attic" closed up tight with no ventilation if I wanted the roof, etc to last. So, I added soffit vents and a small 12 volt, 5 inch fan to move the air. The "attic" was 12' by 24' and 5.5 inches deep. That is, it's only about 140 cu ft and the fan moves about 80 CFM - An air change every 1.75 minutes is pretty darn good ventilation. Problem was, I didn't want to penetrate the roof over the carport section because it has a low pitch. So, I let the air from the fan exhaust into the "attic" of the two car portion of the garage. Meaning that part got hotter than it should. The air coming out of the fan was between 115 and 130 degrees! OK, OK, adding 80 CFM of hotter air to a 5,000 cu ft garage isn't exactly like having a roaring fire but it still adds to the heat gain unnecessarily.
It stayed that way until yesterday when I added some 5" vent pipe, an elbow and a vent cap/flashing. Now, that nasty, old, hot air from the little "attic" goes up, up and away. And, my '69 Ranger is basking in a cooler space today!
Why didn't I do it sooner? It took three hours to fiddle that little project into place including measuring and fabbing the piping, cutting the hole in the roof, replacing about 10 shingles, etc. And, I HATE ROOF WORK!
So, I suppose, the enclosed carport is finally complete. It has a 10,000 Btu air conditioner that is more than adequate now. I mean like 65 degrees of adequacy. Can you say 'Ahhhhhhh' ?

I got some detail work done on my 390, that is until a potential tornado chased me out of the shop...but looks great!

Re: What did you do to YOUR bump today?
Spent the couple weeks or so rubbing it out. Had the moldings on so I took them all off. I still have lots of truck to rub and polish but I decided to follow the tech article and strip the anodizing off the moldings and polish. I have all the upper moldings polished and just finished stripping all the rocker moldings. I ordered Shineseal brand sealer. Waiting for that to come in then I'll need to find time to seal them and reinstall. Oh, and I'll probably be moving in the next few days into another temporary place after getting divorced in January. At least this one will have room for my 2 kids to be with me for the summer.
I do need a couple new moldings, right front wheel opening and a long bed right side front bedside rocker molding as long as it's straight and can be stripped is good. I'll place an ad in parts wanted too.

Re: What did you do to YOUR bump today?
Today was spent in the truck... Had to run up to Rocky Gap to get my boat stickers renewed, about 60 miles each way through some really mountainous (for around here) areas. I really blew it by leaving the camera at home. The truck did really well, pulled the grades at 80+ mph 19-20psi of boost at 800` EGT before the turbo at @ 3/4 throttle. These grades have emergency pull off for the semi's on the downhill side.
I put around 400 miles on the truck this weekend and it is really becoming a confidence builder and a sound performer. I'm also pretty sure this thing is getting around 20 mpg.
