One pickup I miss to this day is the first new F150 I owned in the late 90s (I think). I have had 3-super duties (two crews and one super) and an HD2500 since that truck and none of those I miss like I do that truck. Even the wife has lamented on not still having the truck. It was plain - bench seats, roll up windows, manual locks, rubber floor mat, but it did have power steering, power brakes and a/c. Only got rid of it after buying a 26-foot travel trailer. The 300-CID six could not handle that load (at least I don't think it could have).
Of course I miss the other part of this picture, my father. He died about a year ago at age 91. His red/white f150 is seen in the background. It was loaded and don't know why, but I never really liked it.

Re: Favorite pickup and my father
A good Ford man most of those years - albeit his last pickup was a 98 chevy. Never figured that one out.
Dementia kind of ruined the final 10 years of his life.
Would liked for him to have been around to help me with the 71 I am working on. Would have really liked to have stepped forward many years ago (I was in high school) and helped him work on a 42 ford coupe he bought. He fiddled with it for a while and then sold it. But that's the nature of hindsight.
