Re: My 1967 F100 in Az with A/C!!!
It's time to rebuild the carb. I ordered the premium rebuild kit for the Autolite 1100 or 1101 from Mike's Carbs and the hardware kit. Expensive kits.
I found an Edelbrock 1v intake for the same price I paid for the carb rebuild kits. I haven't driven across town to pick it up, and I don't know that I will. Heck of a deal, but just a hassle right now.

Sounds like you're moving right along on your project! That's going to be a nice truck!

I put in a new V8 radiator last night because I was getting some leaking out of my old one. I have been experiencing the truck stalling when it has been driving for a bit. It stalls when I come to a stop at a light. The Phoenix temperatures can get the engine compartment warm when the outside temp is 110*. I imagine I need to put a larger heatsink on. I also will put a carb spacer on when we rebuild my Autolite 1100/1101 next week. I have seen articles on the web where they are made out of wood. I may give that a try.

I retarded the timing to 6* BTDC and that has helped with the hot-starts.

I got the intake today. The autolite carb gets rebuilt on Tues and I'll install the intake at the same time.
I am strongly considering doing some body work when it cools off and the shooting the whole truck, inside and out with lt blue and white U-POL Raptor tintable, UV Protected bedliner. I painted a VW bug a couple of years ago with the same stuff that I had tinted with OD Green.
My truck will never be a show truck. However, I think the Raptor liner paint would fit with the theme of purposeful upgrades to an already- bulletproof truck. 300 cu engine with a/c and a 3 spd. Slot mags and a 460 radiator. Function and utility oozes out of this truck. I love it!
Here are a few pics of my bug I had shot with it:

Re: My 1967 F100 in Az with A/C!!!
Well crude! I took the intake and carb off today to put the Edelbrock 1v intake on and observed my stock exhaust manifold was severely cracked in numerous places. That means I need a new exhaust manifold. I know that a popular upgrade is to put EFI exhaust manifolds on with dual exhaust with Offenhauser intake and a 4bbl Holley, but I don't know if I would see any felt performance with my Edelbrock 1v manifold and 1 bbl Autolite carb. Time to decide if the upgrade is worth the expense for a new exhaust, or do I just get another stock manifold? Hmmmm....

You will definitely feel an improvement with an updated aftermarket manifold.

I ordered a set of NOS Ford EFI manifolds. They should be here by Tues. I'll install them and have the truck towed to a muffler shop. I think I'm leaning towards a set of duals...

Re: My 1967 F100 in Az with A/C!!!
I installed the Duraspark II with an HEI module in a heat sink about 2 months ago. I was getting some stalling afterwards, which may have been due to a carb issue, or the HEI module getting too warm. My autolite 1100 carb was rebuilt yesterday, and will be installed on a new to me Edelbrock intake manifold. I also put EFI exhaust manifolds on at the same time, since my stock exhaust manifold was all cracked up.
While I was at it, I beefed up the heat sink. I used a 1/4" thick aluminum plate that was 4"x8", and mounted the first heat sink to it, and added the copper heat sink as well. In all, I have 3 heat sinks to tame the heat in our 112* weather. The 67 F100 with a 300 keeps getting better!
