You have strange ideas of fun!
Picked up a tranny filter kit for the C6. Came with the pan and filter gaskets. Might actually get it installed Wednesday.

Swapped out my lame-o plastic dome light for this classy late 40's piece.

used the original housing, mated to the 40's lense and cover. re-drilled the mounting holes and instant upgrade.

Installed new window runs and belt line weather strips. Man the old ones were totally wasted. Dried out and rusted up. Much better now.
Henry helped pay for it all.

Years ago, the glove box door stopped opening. I got the new springs and rubber bumpers today. Opening that door will be like a time capsule from 25 years ago. Dad will be happy I finally fixed it.

Cut and installed C-notches in the '70. Today I wire-wheeled the visible sections of frame and applied POR-15... also applied a coat to the rear wheel well. It not only paints over rust, it paints over dirt to!!

Took the '78 F150 tilt column apart to clean up, bead blast, prime & paint. I need to get new column bearings and a new turn signal switch before I put it all back together.

Replaced the hub bearings on my '89 Sterling rear, went tire shopping but the boss man wasn't there to give me a good price. 265/75R16's are rubbing each other, going with 235/85R16's on the rear. Picked up a pair of coined DRW rims off the '93 Dodge that donated it's engine. Hooked up to dad's boat trailer and it only dropped the rear an inch so not expecting too much trouble with the pull to the bay tomorrow after getting the tires mounted.

Drove around for maybey 5-6 miles headed back home an just as i hit the last stop sign she started to poop out, pulled up to the house turned key off an she dieseled on me for a good 10-12 seconds before i dumped the clutch to make it stop. Over a year with the same gas im sure the carbon build up is crazy in the motor so im draing the tank an rebuilding the carb an grabing some new plugs this weekend

Re: What did you do to YOUR bump today? Axle Flip!

Post by HIO Silver »

Refinished the rear axle over the past few days and then installed it with the Fatman Fab axle flip kit. Ran out of energy so tomorrow is reconnecting the brake hose, parking brake cables, shock adapter brackets, and shocks. The ol' girl sits level with DJM beams and lowering the back by 5.25 inches.:
