Well at least the pickup reigns supreme in Pecos, Texas. This dusty, West Texas town is in the midst of an oil boom - it sits in the middle of the Deleware Basin which is inside the Permian Basin. Lately, it has been battling it out with a county in North Dakota for having the most number of active rigs in the country.
In any event between all of the trucks in town from the various oil-field related companies and all of the locals using their windfalls to buy new trucks, plus all of the pickups associated with the agriculture endeavors of many, virtually anywhere one goes, pickups will outnumber sedans and suvs in large percentages.
Can not tell which brand is winning. But it seems most company vehicles are Ford.

And the biggest Road Runner.

That big Road Runner would be in nearby Fort Stockton, which is located in Pecos County. Pecos, on the other hand, is located in Reeves County. Fort Stockton is seeing some of the boom, but not to the degree Pecos is at this point.

ha yep, crossing the border into texas, you can tell you're here because of all the beat-to-hell white super dutys on the road.

how is it that roughnecks manage to destroy a perfectly good, top of the line, monster pickup truck in 2-3 years?

my dad works for haliburton, says that they pick white super duty fords because they last the longest and ford cuts them a wicked deal when they order a couple thousand trucks at a time, the white ones are cheaper for some reason...

I am guessing many of these operators could care less how they treat these trucks they don't own.
no incentive to take care of their company rides.
