We got the rig to the chopping block. Before everyone showed up we ripped some of the stuff off the truck. I figured more people would be into the metal work than blowing it apart.

E flashers in the glove box.

I double checked every place we would cut the ground all the paint off. Then the cutting lines were laid out.

My wife Amy helped out a bit when I was ripping the dash out.

This one cracked me up. I told her I needed her to go to the store and grab me a roll of take for marking off where the cuts would go and a pack of razor blades so I could cut the seal out of the old windshield. At least she got the tape right.

We had people show up and we had a meeting about what we are doing and a safety talk about cut off wheels and how to use them and how NOT to use them. It seemed everyone was on board and understood. Good thing is we had people coming in to work throughout the day. Sad part is some of those people missed the direction talk of what we are doing and the safety meeting. One person paid the price for it when a grinder with a cutout wheel bound up.

First cut. The 4" body line running down the bed was removed but save for future reattachment.
