Just a little rant

Post by Damon23 »

I go on summits website after going to the auto parts stores and refusing to pay 1.50 each for a open 1/2 x 20 lug nut for my new wheels only to find that they come in a pack of 4. What vehicle takes four lug nuts in that size anymore? Cant complain to much, just another package to buy but for .60 each I felt better.

I was in my neighborhood O'Riely the other day shopping for some accessories. While I was in the aisle looking at what they had, I thought to myself "I wonder what else is available online." After 10 minutes of web searching I found a better or cheaper version of each item I had in my hand. If it was a mom and pop store, I'd feel bad about walking out with nothing, but since it's a corporate shop with folks that only know how to look things up on the computer, I really did't have any qualms about taking my shopping online.

Having said that my local napa guys are excellent, and I took most of my engine part replacement business to them with no hesitation. Before I met you all, they would be the place I'd take my "how do I do this..." questions.
