Hello everyone. I am new to this site so thanks for any comments y'all may have for me.
I have a 67 F-250 that was handed to me as a project. I am trying to install the new Steering Column I purchased to my Bendix box (PS)....
I cannot see how the column mounts under the dash. I have found all the lower mounts that bolt up perfectly but I cannot find an "adapter" or bracket that will mount the column at the dash. Is there a mount I am missing for that? the holes under the dash are about 7" apart and the column mounts look to be 4" or so apart. Any help is greatly appreciated! Have a great day to all!!
Once I receive all the proper parts, I will do a post with pictures while I am installing everything for future reference to everyone on the site.

You should have two obround holes on the bottom edge of the dash that center across the column recess in the dash. http://www.fordification.com/tech/image ... kets06.jpg Using flanged bolts and nuts, this is where the slots in the column mounting flange bolt up. The slot are to give some adjustment from the steering to your body.

Re: Steering column mount at dashboard
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the pedal assembly bracket have the threaded holes and the dash is sandwiched between the steering column and the pedal bracket using the holes in that pic, or something. I wish my truck was here, I'd go look, but I vaguely remember mine being set up that way...

Re: Steering column mount at dashboard
Thank you guys for the replies it is very much appreciated! where the notch in the dash is round, where the column will sit, there are no holes. The only holes are on both sides of the u-shaped notch. will it help if I posted a picture of what I have?
I do have the lower mounting hardware wired with the proper goodies. Just cannot figure out the dash part!
On another note to everyone, what is the proper donation I may give to keep this forum alive for us? I don't want to come up short since I feel this may be my best and most accurate source for this project!
How do I post pics too.LOL
Thank you!!

Hey Sargentrs thank you for that link!! that looks exactly like what I have under the dash. the problem is that my column only has a 4" wide bracket with the oblong holes you described. I also have the beauty bezel that appears to bolt correctly to the column. 4" spread on bolt holes.

You are correct junkman! Sorry, it's been so long since I took mine out I've forgotten how to put it back together!
In the pedal bracket assembly on the left, bottom left in this picture http://www.fordification.com/tech/image ... kets02.jpg , you can see the bolts threaded into the bracket at the welded in nuts. Btw, in this diagram, center right part 3682, http://www.fordification.com/tech/image ... column.jpg you'll see two obround neoprene washers. While not necessary, not a bad idea to sandwich something in there for vibration dampening and to prevent scarring the paint. A piece of inner tube or cut from a rubber floor mat will do.
