69 f-100 budget build
Finally starting to work on the old 69. Sold my other project so I can focus on this a bit. Here's how she sits today:
Today I went and picked up a set of 4 of these off a 96 F150 for $50 (ignore the water spots):
I've already stuck a 95 seat in with lumbar, but the seat itself is giving out. I plan to go back with the original minty green color with the cream colored grille and bumpers. I am trying to buy a parts truck locally for my hood and fenders. I plant to hit the junkyard to snatch power steering and disc brakes off a slightly newer F100. I want to get better west coast mirrors, cover the dash, replace all the seals etc. I will keep all my progress posted here.

Re: 69 f-100 budget build
Cool project! It looks similar to what mine started out as 8 months ago. I suggest you set your priorities based in the following order:
1. Repairs that make it safe to drive
2. Repairs that are mechanically needed
3. Cosmetic upgrades
Watch your budget!

She's pretty safe as is... I drive her daily... 70mph to and from work. Just now time to start fixing her up!

Nice truck, sounds like she is running good to be able to do 70mph with her! Have fun with her.

Actually I've listed the wheels, tires, and some engine stuff in the classified area of this forum. Not trying to make any big money, just trying to add to the restoration fund.

Driving to Asheboro today to pick up fenders and a hood (since my neighbor won't let go of the truck in his yard growing trees through it). This guy also has a good cab, and good frame parts if anyone wants me to take a look for them.

Re: 69 f-100 budget build
Picked up a totalled 97 F150 today. Frame is bent, but the 4.6 and auto trans seem to be running pretty good. Might just swap em' into my truck! Or I might sell to make money to put into my truck. HA! It's a shame that is the only part of this truck I could swap out.
