i recently had a boogerbear with all my wheel cylinders blowing out. i replaced all of them. in the process i damaged a steel braided line on the front drivers side by accident. i had all my steel braided lines made at in line tube. i just called them and they cannot bring up my old order.
i want inline tube to make me a replacement, but i need the measurement for each end of the brake hose. could someone please provide the measurement on each side of a front brake hose?
if you guys can't come up with a answer i guess i'll go to autozone and buy one, take it to my store and measure the threads and then return it... i wish i could find my receipt. i had these things made almost 3 years ago it seems like.
i'm always breaking stuff. a steel braided line of all all things sheesh. dad once told me son you could break a bowling ball
f100 is the daily driver right now so i don't want to take it off. should have waited a month to sell the brat or remove the dash on the f250 - doh!

thanks vossy. I'm justgoing to have to go buy one from autozone and measure the threads on each side. that length measurement does help, but I really need oem thread measurements. no biggy. i'll post what the measurement is so that anyone who has drum/drum can have the measurement too if they ever need a steel braided line from a place like inlinetube.vossy wrote:This is from my front end..I have disc brakes though, not sure how different it is..

Ahh, my bad, I thought you needed the length of the hose. But, I think I found what you needed on Napa's site:
http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Catal ... 0342277489
It lists the drum end of this hose as:
Hose End Type 1 : Macho - 3/8-24
And this lines up with what I see in the '71 service manual:

yep that's it. my braided lines have 7/16 20 pitch? adapters that reduce down to that size. new 24 inch hoses ordered and on the way. i'm leaking brake fluid somewhere. can't determine the source. realized my shock was leaking on the hose and thought it was brake fluid. could be brake fluid mixed with shock fluid. i got new shocks too. after everything is in maybe i'll be able to determine what's leaking more easily.
