What size steel wheels & tires are those on TD's truck? 8" Wheel Vintique 62's out back?
Nice new project Moon Dog! That F250 was awesome! Can't wait to see what you do with the F100!
G'day guys I found another 1970 f100 shortbed which was far more original and much less purple. So the purple one was sold a couple of months ago and I have been working slowly on this new one as well as my new house. Here are some pictures of the truck when I first got it. I will post the update pics soon
Yeah it's coming along slowly. Thanks grease monkey.
So progress to date, changed out the 7.50 r16s for some 15s with narrow bands which made a hell of a difference to take off, poor old 240 ain't working so hard. We got the chassis notch is done in preparation for the axle flip. Fitted a new (to me) seat from a 77 f100 I parted out and fitted a 68 grille just yesterday. Next will be axle flip and fit the dropped I beams that i have already fitted disc brake spindles.my truck already has a disc conversion.

Today I decided I had to do something about the front suspension in the truck. I'm not quite ready to fit my dropped beams yet but was sick of feeling like I was driving a speed boat. So today I just cut a coil and a half from each side and dropped the front about 3 inches. This is only a temporary fix but it sure looks a hell of a lot better than before. I have new springs for when I fit the beams so no dramas. Still a bit lower in the rear but getting closer.

Nice truck! Its just so weird to see these trucks with right hand drive! What does the throttle linkage look like in one of these right hand drive trucks?
