Booster / master cylinder

Post by DDAN1130 »

I've looked around quite a bit and can't really find what I'm looking for. I have a 69 f100 4x4 with drums. There is a brake booster on it (from advance auto). My master cylinder is leaking and needs replaced. Should I replace it with a stock dual system MC or is there a different one for boosters? In a nutshell can a manual MC be just bolted on to a booster to give you power brakes?

Boosters have nothing to do with the master in the way r thinking. Boosters only give vaccum power to make braking easier. Just get the correct parts store replacement that ur parts place says is correct. Single masters were not used in the f 100 - f 350.
