What is this mounted to my frame?

This is mounted on the passenger side of my frame I'm not seeing any markings on it. Thanks! Hopefully the pictures show up

Charcoal evap canister I believe.

I've never seen a rectangular charcoal canister on one of these trucks. They're usually round and mounted inside the left frame rail, near the core support.

Maybe its 4wd only. Looks like ones ive seen only in cars.

Well the truck is on a 78 frame maybe it's a dent side thing
