new carb linkage

Post by jimmy828 »

Thought i would give a try at fabricating a carb linkage. Thought it turned out pretty good. Also made a piece that the rod slides thru just to keep the linkage from having side to side movement. I believe there is enough play when the engine kicks to the side when running. The little gadget can be adjusted up/down and in/out. Now to take it back off and clean it up a little.

Very clean looking. You mentioned clearance when the engine moves. Have you watched it in action to see if the linkage is binding, or do you think there is enough side to side play that it'll be fine?

I just finished mocking mine up, and built a throttle return spring bracket. I guess I didn't snap a picture of the bracket.
