Question about Bump Vs Dent Highboy Pitman Arm

Post by Madman »

Does anyone know if there is any difference between the pitman arm for a 67-72 F250 4x4 with manual steering and a 73-77 F250 4x4 with manual steering? Are they the same part? The steering boxes look similar.

According to the Ford Truck Master Parts Catalog (MPC), the Pitman arm has the same part number up through 1975, then changes again for the '76 and early-'77, and then again for the late-'77 thru '79:

'67-'75 F250 (4x4) - marked #C7TA 3590-D
'76-'77 F250 - 4/W/D "Before Ser. Y20,001" - marked # D6TA-3590-HA, NA
'77-'79 F250 - 4/W/D "From Ser. Y20,001" - marked # D7TA-GA
