.....weapons of last resort-screw removal
I tried the penetrating oil.....i tried craftsman screw-out.....i tried craftsman screw-out with a reversible drill it has not worked these screws hold on engine covers and the engine to the frame on my motorcycle. my last thought was maybe the japanese reversed the screws so counter clockwise tightens. that turned out not to be true it would have been nice though. I do not know where to go from here. Two of my screws look like dog bowls. everytime I would get resistance it either messed up the drill and/or required me to speed up,then it would just break free and lose traction. short of using a explosive device what can be done?

!. use a screw extractor/hammer driver. put a phillips head in the end, place it on the screw and whak it a couple times. worked all the time on my bikes when I was a kid. (recommended)
2. carefully cut a slot in the end of the screw for a flathead screwdriver, tap a large flathead screwdriver in the slot with a hammer. Now, while holding the screwdriver with vice-grips, turn the screwdriver and at the same time, hit the end with a hammer. easier with 2 people. (did that make sense?)

most of these are recessed into the engine body. on one at least, there is hardly anything left of the head....its more like a rim and a hole hollowed out by about a 4th of a inch. I am unsure if i can cut anything. I have a 12 volt cordless drill and the standard set of screwdrivers and sockets. I have no idea what my dad may have. how would you cut a screw?

I have a set of left-handed drill bits and I always try to use them first!
If those don't work I have a choice of either a 3/4" Impact wrench (forward or backwards it doesn't matter it will come off...) or a 20lb sledge hammer.
I like to have choices.

re: .....weapons of last resort-screw removal
FYI: It's just like a "Phillips head" and "Cross head" screw or screwdriver. Mr. Phillips invented/patented the Cross head but unless you had worked out a deal with him (A long time ago) you couldn't use his name.
The "Allen head" and "Hex head" relationship has a similar history.
