TOF, Yes it seems like the upside down 2 would be the work of a drunk or disgruntled employee but they did a whole lot of them that way.
Your choices are
62
62 1 = 62.25
62 2 = 62.50
62 3 = 62.75

I heard they did this for fine tuning which makes sense. But then they don't make 63's. Go figure

Re: 360 to 390 Swap
Started her up today, first time in 3+ years.
Gas is starting to sour, could smell it just walking up to the truck.
Started up okay enough, but carb is puking fuel out everywhere and it flooded out. More Holley work ahead.
My fault for not running it every couple of months, the years go by too fast. And the more you have behind you the faster they push you forward.

Yes time flys by. I know what you mean about Holly work. I put a Holly on a 390 3 trucks ago and it was more tinkering than I wanted. So what do I do a few months back? Of course I put a Holly on the Edelbrock manifold on the 68's 390.

Re: 360 to 390 Swap
I put new fuel rail seals in the carb and gave it a good cleaning while I had it apart. Got it all back together and she's running good again. Smoking some out of the left bank though, my valve seals are bad in this engine, it loads up pretty easily, but it looks like it's time to change them now.
I had forgotten that the brake booster had failed right before parking the truck, it has a pretty bad vacuum leak.
Still recovering from the Paying my Dues season, but in a month or two I'm going to take a look at the budget and see if it's in the cards to tag and insure this truck, it'd be nice to drive the old girl again.
