Re: Bumps At Work!
Here is one from my work place. Not sure of the year. Believe it is a f600 (has an instrument cluster I would love to have).

Here's a shot from the last time mine did any work. I collect up scrap shipping containers from work to patch the old barns and stuff around the farm.

Here's a picture of my Bump parked in the parking lot at work. Does that count as "Bumps At Work"?

Ok, but seriously, here's my Bump loaded up for a dump run. The load looks much heavier than it really is, it only came out to 660 lbs when I scaled out at the dump.

Re: Bumps At Work!
Man, i always forget to take pics when my bump is 'working' because i'm usually too busy working to stop for pictures.
She has been hauling motorcycles quite a bit lately, as she usually does. Hauled a couch a couple weeks ago, and hauled the old one to the dump. Had about 1/4 cord of wood back there a month ago and she was running just fine, but not stopping real well.

Re: Bumps At Work!
I hauled 4 yards of mulch for this job at this mausoleum on Monday. Have you heard of Piper Airplanes? They were made in my town of Lock Haven. The founder of the corporation, Bill Piper, Sr. and his son, Bill Piper, Jr. are laid to rest here. Piper, Jr.'s widow hired me several years ago to mow the grass around the mausoleum, since the cemetery can only afford to mow 3-4 times a year.
This is a pic when I first arrived with my equipment and the 4 yards tarped.
Took a break to take this pic. Notice my parking brake.
Unloaded most of the 4 yds here at this little hill. This made it easier to shovel it on the wheel barrow.
Finished product!
And I mowed the lot this morning. Our town hosts a Piper Fly-In this week. Mrs. Piper wants it looking nice as Piper aficionados come up there to take pictures. And yes I was beat. I found out I got Lyme Disease so I wasn't up to my normal strength or work rate. But my F350 did fine hauling the mulch and lifting the bed.

Here is my bump hauling some branches to the brush pile. The branches are from two white pines i had to take down due to some disease that killed them.

Neat picture , are you sure thats a '61 ?daveford72 wrote:loaded my 61 Galaxie on my 71 Crew cab Ramp truck http://www.fordification.com/forum/app. ... /image/335
I have a '62 just like that, 2 door post , only a white top.
I painted it about 30 years ago, but now it looks like that again.
It originally had the 223 6 cyl but I swapped in a 390 and C6.

Re: Bumps At Work!
Well I was going by the year on my tile said 61, But since you said that I googled image and see 61s have a ridge on the top of the quarter I bought it about 20 years ago. Last time I had tags on was back in 2000. has 352 auto, power steer 61k on it bought at estate sale. He had brush painted it green. Runs so smooth and quiet and just floats down the road.cep62 wrote:Neat picture , are you sure thats a '61 ?daveford72 wrote:loaded my 61 Galaxie on my 71 Crew cab Ramp truck http://www.fordification.com/forum/app. ... /image/335

Re: Bumps At Work!
They certainly do "float" down the road.
I found a sway bar off of a more deluxe model and it does help,
but it doesn't handle like a modern car.
I used to drive it a lot,I even went from Michigan to Houston once.
But I parked it for the winter once and life got busy , and each summer goes by too fast.
Maybe next year.
