Yeah I learned that in high school. Buddy of mine Gomer (yes that's right, Were down here in the south.) had a 65 c10 chev he poured everything he had into. It had one of them little glass see thru filters on the 283. One night cruising town it rattled undone and hit the headers. Sadly it was a long road for him to get it fixed. I told myself I would never get caught out like that. Carbs can do it to ya fast. Secondly just remember while your sitting over to the side of the garage on a stool watching your smashed fingers bleed onto the floor that it's all in the fun of building up these old bumps and its worth it.72 f100 wrote:You must be able to read my mind Manny. I call it "catching the *might as well's*". Might as well do this while I'm here. Oh, and might as well take care of that.....Manny wrote:Hmmmm looks like the snow ball effect..... I will just do this little thing here. But that bolt over there, and this wire right here.......... Next the bump is a bare chassis on jack stands...
Great thread. Reminds me of a certain bump I know....

Believe it or not I have finally found that illusive thing called "TIME". I took the oportunity to work on the bumpside a little. I have ordered parts to install a mustang gas tank, and axle flip. Watching EVILBAY for a good deal on a posi.

Re: What have I gotten myself into
Good luck with your project! Should be a sweet truck once a few things get taken care of. I'd get the engine taken care of, so it can at least be driven while you source everything else you're needing to get. But then again, if you have wheels to drive while working on the truck, then no big deal, and you can just do whatever you want at whatever pace you choose. However you choose, I hope it all works as smoothly as possible. Love seeing the bumpsides getting ressurected!
