1967 Brake Pressure Differential Valve

Post by mccolalx »

I recently bought a 1967 F100 with a 69 I6 and no power brakes.
The panel mounted "brake" light stays on whenever the key is on. From searching the forum and going through the original shop manuals, I was assuming that it was either the switch in the pressure differential valve or an issue with a gummed up pdv. Lo and behold, there's no pressure differential valve under the master cylinder.
I'm assuming that there's supposed to be one there, right? Since it isn't, should I add one?
How do I get that damn light off?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
