2005 buick flasher

My mother-in-law has a 2005 Buick Century. The signals quit working and she has had in in 2 shops and they can't figure out why. Neither one has checked the flasher. One said he didn't know how to find it. I tried looking it up and the only video shows some genius that has taken the dash almost entirely apart to get to it. Says it's toward the left end of the dash.
A different page says it's above and to the right of the brake pedal brace.
Can someone tell me where it's located and what has to be removed to get to it?

Some cars have it in the fuse panel under the dash, round with two prongs.
