Well I bought it. Got it for a good deal. It runs like a champ. Needs a few things, but it's a good project I can drive and use while I work on it.
It's a 61 with 64 bed. Chrysler 318, 727 trans, ratchet shifter. It has a fuel cell in the bed. 8 inch rearend.
After a good scrubbing.
Bumper on.
And the 318.
So far I got the taillights working and troubleshot the brake lights (needs a switch), greased all the window regulators that were seized, installed the front bumper, cleaned it up, made a lot of plans, and tested everything out.
One top priority is getting the front suspension squared away, it was a very loose ride during the test drive, but it's all fixable. Front disc brakes are on the agenda as well, then repair the bed, then redo the fuel system. And everything else can be attended to in time.
