Painted the raw plastic '70 grille inserts from Dennis Carpenter. Turned out quite nice. Unfortunately no pictures right now, maybe later.

Well normally it would indicate that one agrees with the person who posted above them. Unfortunately in this case my post is the first on the next page. I still agree with 70short4x4 that 71StylesideF100's rims look good. In fact I'm rather jealous of anyone who has decent original paint like his truck does.

Touched up and installed some 70' Grille inserts I picked up on the Fortification FB page. I've always liked these better and
eventually I'll restore them to silver.

'F' it, blew the other side out and this one went flat overnight. It's sitting out front now on the back of my tractor with just the rear tires installed. Not too bad for original bias plys that are almost old enough to drink.rwilly wrote:Might wanna check the pressure in that trailer tire!
Today after digging the gravel out so I can lay the pavers my old neighbor stopped by and asked if I wanted some wood. Back said no, he said he had a backhoe at the site and it was only 5 minutes away. Yeah, no pics but now I have a big pile of mixed wood to biscuit and split. He brought the loader back to the house loaded on both ends to help unload the truck. Might get another load tomorrow.

Right on. And FYI my 70 ones have previously been restored to silver (by the previous owner..not me). They still look good. I just like the beefier look of the 71 style on the 4x4 trucks...which is what I have. I replied to you message71StylesideF100 wrote:70short4x4 wrote:

Put a new exhaust hanger on the right side to keep the tail pipe from swinging around.
I also put in a new PCV valve, the old one would start "buzzing" every now and then, I thought the noise was coming from the alternator.

Walked by a window stopped and looked at it for a bit. a little bit later went out to talk to a friend and looked at it some more and thought I can't wait till I get the motor back from the machine shop
