Manual Steering Column Difference
Will a 1970 automatic manual steering column work on a 67 auto/manual steering?

Yep. Minor wiring difference but it'll bolt in just fine.

Wait a minute! Just happened to remember when I woke up. Check your steering box. If it's a Bendix, you might have an issue. If it's a Saginaw, no problem. The '70 will have a Saginaw and the Saginaw box is longer so the columns are different lengths. Read through this article http://www.fordification.com/tech/powersteering.htm It explains the variations in the columns. It's about swapping to power steering but has some good info on the boxes. I'd suggest measuring the distance from the mounting bracket under the dash to the rag joint just to be sure.
