Unfortunately: Locks keep honest people honest. That's about the size of it.
I had a hood lock on my 75 F100 w/351 2v Cleveland, built up real sweet (Dyno'd 272 HP @ 3500 RPM's at the rear wheel!). Well some F'n Dirt Bag went in through the undercarriage and stole my Battery, oil cooler, tranny cooler Dual oil filter set upand a few other personal items. All without opening the hood. He didn't need to touch the hood lock.
That was a big Shiite sandwich that I had to eat!
I really do hate to eat those too!!!
